Let the Book Presentations Begin!!

Hello Room 75!
We are off to a wonderful start with so many students having brought in their book projects today!  Each morning this week, we will be listening to one or two of them right after gym and then again after lunch!
Today we listened as students talked about 2 fiction stories, an autobiography and a non-fiction book.

Brooke shared her story by Judy Blume called, "Going, Going, Gone! With the Pain and the Great One!"  She did a wonderful job of adding expression as she spoke and shared her descriptions of the 2 main characters: "The Great One", and her favorite, "The Pain!"

Bruce shared his non-fiction book on Tornadoes and was comfortable and confident in his knowledge and understandings of where most tornadoes occur and what causes them to happen.

Ally was VERY excited to share the autobiography she read, "Anne Frank, The Diary of a Young Girl." She did a wonderful job demonstrating her understandings of what it was like to be a young girl during World War 2 who with her family had to hide for fear of being caught.  She was also very proud to share pictures that were taken of her when she visited Anne Franks' actual home with her family.

Bailey was confident as she shared her homemade book based on Gardians of Ga'Hoole, The Capture that she read.  She spent a great deal of time preparing her book, which included a variety of different mediums, such as writing, illustrations, a mini-book within her book, and some 3d objects.  Her project included a detailed summary of the story, without revealing the ending, and good descriptions of some of the many characters who were important in the story.

Way to go you guys!!
I am very excited to see and hear the rest of the presentations throughout the week.  A few students who have handed in their projects today, but didn't get to present will do so on Tuesday!  (Ethan, Ria and Kareem!)
