Have a Great Long Weekend!!

Hello!
We had a quick and busy day today!
We started the morning with sharing the blog and discussing what many of us did Thursday night, including attending Family Science Night at the school.  Thanks to the families who attended.  The students were very excited to share about the different things they learned and discovered through the many different experiments and hands on learning they experienced at APEGA.  Many kids were eager to share how they learned just how strong eggs can actually be, and were surprised by how many textbooks could be balanced on top of the eggs!

We finished our Poetic Art Project today!! Students have been working hard on writing, painting and glueing their project together and they have come out quite well!! They should feel proud of their hard work. One of the flowers they created include words that describe their characteristics, the other flower  has petals that describe things that they are good at.
Here is a snapshot of one of the pieces.  The rest will be up on Tuesday for everyone to see!!

In dance, they learned the final moves to the dance they have been working on.  Ask them to share what they can remember of the choreographed dance they have been working on.

I will be away on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the students have had their guest teacher work with them before.  Her name is Mrs. Hofer.  I spoke with the class about expectations around behaviour, listening and working for a guest teacher.  If you could review the importance in listening and participating in class and what is needs to look like when we have a guest teacher that will be very helpful.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful long weekend with their families!
