Hello families!!!
Please look in your child's home communication folder as there are many important items that are in there!
The Halloween Howler tickets are on sale! Please read the form carefully and if you are interested in attending, please fill in and return with the exact amount ASAP, as the tickets are FIRST COME FIRST SERVED.
The dance is Wednesday, October 30th (not the 31st, as I had in the October calendar, sorry about that)... This way, the kids can go to the dance on Wednesday AND trick or treat on Thursday!
Individual Pictures went home today!! Please look them over and if you are interested in ordering copies please submit everything by October 22. Photo retake day has been rescheduled for October 22nd.
Here is my picture from that day... I will look around my house for my grade 3 or 4 picture and try to have it up by photo retake day (my mom kept most of my school pictures!!)
A notice went home about a fundraising opportunity for the school as well.
During math Mr. Southworth joined us as we went on Mathletics. Each student has been assigned two tasks to work on this week. Each student was able to successfully log in and work in Mathletics. They worked on the tasks and then explored some of the options that are on the side of the screen, they particularly enjoy "Live Mathletics" where they get to compete against other kids from around the world (and even from around the classroom) on basic facts. This is a great way to help your child to strengthen their basic facts. As they master level 1, encourage them to compete at level 2 or 3 to keep things challenging for them.
This afternoon was our last day of Aussie X! The students enjoyed the opportunity to experience a new and different sport (and to finish their lessons that were started but interrupted by the flood in June). Ask them to share with you something they learned about Aussie-X.
