It's Election Day!

Hello room 75!
There is no school Monday, October 21st for a professional day and it is also ELECTION DAY!! Please make sure your parents go out and vote!

Friday was a busy day! We continued our work with Mrs. Ellison to create our large "HOPE TREE".  After writing our goals in your IRIS journal and on IRIS we wrote them onto the leaves that will be going up onto our HOPE TREE.  We will be discussing and writing more about our goals in the upcoming weeks. And, this week, the students will get to see a mini version of what the larger tree will look like.  Each part of the tree will represent different things that will help the students to work towards achieving their goals and hopes they have.

Share with your family the goal you wrote on your leaf. If you have not gotten into IRIS on your computer yet, please try to log in over the long weekend and show your parents how you can write your goals there.

We also had Mrs. Goldberg's class join us after dance for a round of daily five.  Students were able to work with different students on their literacy activities, such as buddy reading and writing, and playing different literacy games.  Ask your child to share with you what they chose to do to help strengthen their reading and writing skills.

By now the students should be close to finishing the book they are going to presenting for their book project.  Please email me if you have any specific questions.
