I hope that the weekend has been enjoyable and restful for everyone of you!
This is going to be a busy week with finishing up with our Artist In Residency, Gail Bartel, participating in Aussie X and APEGGA Science Family night on Thursday (6-8)!
On Friday, we had a special guest visit us:) A former student from room 3 last year! Ask your child to share with you who popped by to say hi and to answer many questions about her new school!
We have just finished up reading "Gooney Bird Greene" and Goony explained to the class that everyone has absolutely totally true stories to tell about themselves. Lucas shared with us his absolutely true story that he called "How Lucas got his name!" This week we will be working to discover the many different absolutely true stories we each have about ourselves and deciding which ones to write a short story about.
Important reminders:
Scholastic Book Orders due MONDAY.
APEGGA Science Night, Thursday 6-8.
Aussie X Monday and Wednesday.
Dance on Friday.
Please make sure to walk to the crosswalk and to look both ways for cars before crossing the street.
Homework:
Read 15-30 minutes each day and record on your reading log.
